
Our park has an abundance of wildlife, birds and plants, with many species of each in the park year round. As you visit, keep your eyes and ears open to the rich variety of wildlife around you. Enjoy the wonders of nature around you and help us to protect these treasures for future generations of visitors. Below is a small list of some of the flora and fauna that has been seen at the campground. Oh, yes boy do we have morels! As you can see from the picture they are all most as large as soda pop cans. If you see something special please contact the campark office and we will add it to our list.

Lady Slippers (both pink and yellow), Morels, Picture Plants, Bleeding Hearts, blue bells, Indian Paint Brushes.

Birding
Great Blue Heron, Owls, Artic Trens, Mallards, Wood Ducks, both Blue and Green Winged Teals, Bufflehead Duck, Swans, Canada Geese, Eagles, Sand Hill Crane, Double-crested Cormorant, Snowy Egret, Ring-necked Pheasant, Marsh Hawk, Kingfisher, Pileated Woodpeckers, Loon, Sand Pipers, Humming Birds, Red Wing Black Bird, Yellow Finches, Cedar Wax Wings.
